Sony is proud to announce its' new SDX3-100C
cartridge in AIT-3 format, heralding a significant improvement in recording
density over the previous AIT-1 and AIT-2 formats. The SDX3-100C cartridge
offers a massive 100GB of native capacity, or 260GB in compressed form.
When used with an AIT-3 drive, the new format delivers transfer rates of 12MB/s
in native form and 31MB/s in compressed form. The SDX3-100C cartridge
employs the newly developed R-MIC (Remote Memory in Cassette) system.
